TRAGEDY

“There are two tragedies in life, one is losing your heart’s desire, and the other is gaining it”. Some would prefer the later, but I’d rather take the first any day. It’s just a lot less heartbreaking never gaining something than it is to gain it, find out just how beautiful it is, how perfect it makes your life, and then losing it to the complexity that is life.

Have you ever read something that was written for you or to you or about you and just thought about how beautiful it was because at one point it made you feel beautiful, but now all it does is remind you of the moments lost and the sinking feeling you get when you realize that the writer could be writing something even more beautiful at this exact moment, but not to make you feel beautiful, not anymore.

That is what I find to be the biggest tragedy in life, holding the position of being someone's motivation, their inspiration, and their muse, and then one day losing all that. Losing the position of being the most influential person in someone's life, losing the chance of changing their life for the better, that is the biggest tragedy in life, for saving one life is no less than saving humanity.
